The Business (Account) Director is a client partner in the Midwest region trusted with owning the Nissan brand and demonstrating an understanding of clients' overall business, not just the projects within the agency. You help clients weigh options, evaluate trade-offs, and make decisions. You are well on your way to mastering the art of delivery and diplomacy.

You help ensure a broad understanding of the region's business problems and objectives. Contributing to the quality and effectiveness of strategies and creative products, you champion the creative product and distinguish between acceptable and award-winning work. You take calculated risks with the support of leadership, when appropriate.

You help keep track of the finances and are a steward of the relationship. Actively pursuing cohesion among brand/region and proactively seeking feedback from clients and department leads, you leverage this intelligence to drive efficiency and improvement.

As the Business Director, you are the liaison with Nissan National Marketing and all Regional Marketing/Advertising management, this role works closely with all Agency departments to monitor that goals for Nissan are met and the best Client work is produced and drives the business forward.

What You'll Do:

Client Relations
  • Act as the primary contact for all Regional client needs, requests, and
  • Develop strong client relationships and become their trusted
  • Continuously work with Regional Clients to sell advertising programs within RMP
  • Attend and/or have NU support at all DMA RMP meetings to present advertising
  • Present National and Regional creative, media plans and performance metrics, promotions, strategies, etc. at DMA RMP meetings.
  • Prepare and provide oversight of RMP meeting materials as directed by the Regional
  • Work with Regional clients to review National model support, market support and aid in reviewing inventory levels to implement appropriate model mix.
  • Work with Regional clients to anticipate and advise on the needs, opportunities and issues for DMA RMP meetings.
  • Provide Regional clients with value-added merchandising opportunities within RMP
  • Update Regional clients with National and Regional creative
  • Work with Regional clients to provide local extensions of new vehicle
  • Develop relationships with influential dealers (RDAB/NDAB/MSC) within guidelines and direction of the Regional clients.
  • Guide and oversee content for monthly RMP newsletter to all
  • Ensure posting of RMP documents to Nissan's Dealer 360 website for dealer and Region access.
  • Analysis and presentation of Regional Console data, insights and optimizations to Regional clients after alignment with NNA headquarters.

Marketing/Special Projects
  • Attend monthly Regional marketing/advertising
  • Prepare materials for and participate in quarterly district meetings at the
  • Monitor and report competitive spending/share of voice

Media
  • Forecast and maintain fiscal year advertising budget for each market
  • Lead annual Go-to-Market planning and strategy
  • Work with media planning in the development of annual media plans by
  • Ensure all media projects/buys are implemented in an accurate and timely
  • In coordination with media planning, present buy and post-buy recaps to
  • Work with media planning in identifying new media
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of local media environment and media
  • Provide monthly media updates including media budgets and media
  • Report/communicate the value of National and Regional media
  • Lead historical reconciliation of advertising plan success and optimization

General
  • Management and oversight of all Business and Media employees within your
  • Provide supervision of assigned personnel, guiding workflow and assuring compliance with Agency policy while fulfilling client requirements.
  • Train, coach and mentor team members for optimal career
  • Solicit Agency resources and cross-functional teams to provide clients with recommendations demonstrating the power of Nissan United.
  • Onboard new Regional clients on the RMP process and all related marketing

Location:

Given the nature of our Business team and the client assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to the Chicago area, in the near future (first 60 days of employment).
