Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, Transportation Roadway Engineer (PE). The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects. You will perform a variety of tasks that will require the application of sound principles and best practices.
Your Key Responsibilities - Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projects
- Perform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standards
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects
- Train junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modeling
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials - Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design software
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PSE plan production
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others
Education and Experience - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum
- TX PE license
- Minimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experience
- TxDOT Precertification preferred
