QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred candidates will have five or more years of work experience in a psychiatric setting. Advanced graduate training and independent licensure are required due to evaluating fitness for admission, interacting with other clinicians, providing back-up coverage to Case Manager(s), and performing medical documentation (MSW, Ph.D., Psy. D., LMHC, MSN, etc.). SKILLS/ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: The successful candidate will possess a high level of broad clinical skills along with personal qualities that allow one to be professional and at ease in a variety of interpersonal situations. GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The Addiction Treatment Center at Naukeag is a 30-bed residential treatment program for adults with co-occurring disorders located in Petersham, M A. Collaborating with program/division leadership, the Assistant Program Leader supports the Program Leader at the Naukeag residential treatment program. Provides and oversees the day-to-day clinical services of the residential/partial team in addition to the clinical services and operations of the clinical program in conjunction with the Program Leader. Provides direct patient care as a clinical team manager to a designated number of patients and provides clinical team manager coverage as needed. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provides clinical team manager services to a designated number of patients · Provides clinical team manager services when required for coverage, both individual and group therapy · Shares responsibility for supervising and facilitating the group therapy program · Assist the Program Leader in reviewing referrals and coordinating with the admissions team, including initial utilization review · Provide coverage for Program Leader · Assists the Program Leader in overseeing psychiatric care, including documentation that would be required for all department agencies and regulatory compliance. · Provides clinical services and clinical interventions as appropriate. · Program-specific on-call coverage responsibilities include providing 24-hour call in coordination with Program Leader. · Meets with families for clinical discussions as needed · In collaboration with Program Leader, plays a key role in setting standards, policy and procedure, and developing a positive culture in the unit · Provides ongoing consultation and supervision for clinical staff, including nursing staff, including RNs and CRCs. · Attends program and hospital administrative meetings · Complies with all hospital clinical and administrative policies · Participates in utilization management, risk management, and quality assurance activities · Participates in appropriate standing hospital committees · Facilitates integration of program services with other clinical programs and non-clinical departments in conjunction with other program leadership
