Join Our Team!
We have an immediate need for a part-time Van Driver to join the team at The Sovana at Stuart, one of United Group’s professionally managed active adult communities located in Stuart, FL.
The primary responsibility of this position will be operating a shuttle bus, driving our residents to the grocery store, shopping trips, appointments, planned events, etc.
This is a part-time hourly position ($16) with a varying schedule, depending on events and needs of the property.

Major Tasks + Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by the Van Driver:
Transport residents to and from appointments and activities
Operate and maintain bus in a safe and legal manner
Assist residents with entering and exiting the bus and operating the wheelchair lift, as needed
Maintain daily trip log, detailing mileage and gas
Report any vehicle accidents or resident injuries to Manager immediately
Transport van to repair shop when required for oil changes and all necessary repairs
Maintain all cleaning equipment and have serviced at the appropriate time
Assists Activities Coordinator with scheduled events, parties, etc.
Actual bus schedule may vary and require flexibility
Job Overview + Requirements:
Job Type: Van Driver; $16.00 per hour
Work Hours: Part-Time; hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Minimum High School Education or equivalent is required
Must be 25 years of age at minimum
Valid Driver's License required
Valid CDL Driver’s License preferred but not required
Clean driving record and demonstrates sound judgment and good safety habits
Knowledge of traffic regulations
Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to interact with a wide range of people and to solve problems involving residents, personnel, emergency situations, etc.
Ability and willingness to assist with scheduled events
Professional image compatible with United Group
