Under the supervision of the Manager of Marketing Analysis and Advanced Analytics, the Senior Marketing Analyst will partner with departments to help drive high-level improvement efforts within marketing as it relates to effective, strategic use of budget and optimizing the return on the investment. Primary duties include, but are not limited to providing actionable recommendations leading to an improvement in revenue and/or expenses and profit associated with marketing communication mechanisms and offer formats. Analyses related to the continuous improvement of marketing (loyalty program, direct marketing, email marketing, player development, junkets, brand, ecommerce, etc.) and the direct/indirect impact to other operating areas. The Senior Marketing Analyst will carry out in depth analysis of direct mail offers and special events to uncover the effectiveness and promote areas of continuous improvement. The Senior Marketing Analyst will analyze/monitor trends, build out presentations, and create dashboards. This is inclusive of recurring tasks and ad-hoc tasks, both short- and long-term. The successful incumbent will have an inquisitive nature to want to learn and figure out the "why", be an independent self-starter, partner with departmental/operational leaders to immerse themselves into the operation, lead meetings, provide actionable recommendations based on observations and analyses, and be able to present in a clear, concise manner. The position assists in training and management of the team. Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university is required. An analytical and/or business oriented major (Accounting, Business, Finance, Economic, Data Science, or Engineering) is preferred. The candidate should possess at least 4+ years of work experience in a high-paced environment that involved quantitative and qualitative analysis. Must be experienced in carrying out the full analytical lifecycle of sourcing data, cleansing data, prepping data for analysis, conducting analysis, developing dashboards, developing queries and presenting actionable recommendations. Prior exposure to marketing processes and data-driven optimization is preferred. Must be proficient in utilizing Excel, analytical software (SAS, SPSS, Python, R, Stata or Alteryx, SAS preferred), data visualization software (SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, etc., SAS Visual Analytics Preferred). Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Leadership experience is preferred. Must display good interpersonal skills and have a positive, cooperative attitude towards internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to work independently on projects from conception to completion, as well as in conjunction with other areas of Finance and Operations, while having the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects with varying degrees of priority.
