SoftBank Robotics, the global leader in workforce automation, is seeking a
Technical Product Manager to join a fast-growing team that is shaping the future through artificial intelligence and robotics. You will work with an entrepreneurial, tight-knit team focused only on leveraging software and data experiences to enable commercialization and scale of robot fleet deployments and large enterprise automation deals.
Reporting to the Head of Product at SoftBank Robotics, North America, the ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and comfortable navigating a rapidly evolving market to determine the best path to market for new products. The individual will be a detail-oriented, passionate, self-starter that will be working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced start-up-like environment handling several high visibility projects. Energy and curiosity are a must! You will be a fast learner and an expert communicator, understanding that the only way to meet ambitious goals is to work and learn together.
Role - Drive technical projects from conception and discovery through launch, managing cross-functional teams and external partners
- Facilitate roadmap planning, goal setting, and launch timelines for fleet management software, data platforms, and open APIs
- Monitor progress, milestones, and deliverables and identify risks, dependencies, and resource for various software products and data initiatives.
- Analyze, document, and communicate technical details and tradeoffs to senior leadership for strategic and tactical decisions related to both product and enterprise deals
- Supervise and evolve processes around testing, monitoring, uptime, and privacy, trust, and cybersecurity guardrails and improvements
- Keeping up-to-speed on the fast pace of growth in emerging trends related to robotics/AI, data science, and software architecture
- Develop into SoftBank's "go-to" domain expert representing the business unit on a global-level related to the intersections of connected hardware, automation solutions, fleet management software, cybersecurity, and privacy considerations
- Scope, formulate, develop, and explain technical problems and solutions to non-technical internal and customer audiences to facilitate a range of topics, including new product or feature ideation, support sales in closing deals related to IT/CISO reviews, or other C-Suite-level consultative roles
- Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners to maintain continuity and address potential outages and bugs with urgency and clear communications
- Be a bridge builder across sales, customer care, field service, deployment, legal, and IT teams
Requirements
- 1-3 years technical product management, software engineering, solutions architect, or data science experience, ideally with AI/ML, robots, or other connected hardware/IoT products
- Technical background through STEM degree or hands-on experience.
- Ability to decompose complex projects and facilitate execution and decision making across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
- Consultative and data-driven mindset with strong comfort for ambiguity and bias for action
- Experience operating collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Passion for robotics, AI, and technology's potential to benefit people and solve business problems
