Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial and heavy commercial construction projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
2. Utilize construction estimating software such as PlanSwift and EDGE to accurately predict project costs.
3. Participate in the bidding process, including preparing and submitting competitive bids.
4. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other related documents to identify potential cost factors.
5. Coordinate pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements and challenges.
6. Prepare and issue Request for Information (RFI) documents to clarify project details and specifications.
7. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to develop comprehensive project strategies.
8. Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
9. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
10. Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders as needed.
11. Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as PlanSwift and EDGE.
3. Extensive knowledge of industrial construction
