A registered professional nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. She/he is responsible for direction and guidance of patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing and the policies and operating instructions of Memorial Healthcare. Many of these surgical procedures can be performed efficiently and safely on a same-day basis utilizing techniques such as advanced minimally invasive and laser surgery. Approximately 75% of all surgery at Memorial is performed on a same-day basis.
