SAGE Veterinary Centers is seeking an additional surgeon with interests in orthopedic, soft tissue, oncologic, and minimally invasive surgery to further expand the surgery service at our San Francisco hospital. Located in the heart of the city's Mission District, a vibrant mix of residential, workplace, dining, and retail spaces.
Work with multiple specialties and collaborate with a brilliant and diverse community of doctors focused on maintaining an exemplary hospital culture. The San Francisco team includes multiple surgery-internship trained emergency doctors who thrive on supporting complex surgical scenarios within the larger team of experienced emergency clinicians, a radiologist to guide expert case work-up, the regional SAGE anesthesiology group available for on-call and in-hospital support with complex cases and staff training, and a cardiologist to deliver expert pre-anesthetic input. Our hospital features three modern surgical suites with minimally invasive surgery capabilities, C-arm, on-site CT and MRI, and the full complement of the top-quality surgical instrumentation needed to deliver expert care.
We are within walking distance from the beautiful and eclectic Mission Dolores Park where residents and their pets amass every weekend to soak up the views, vibes, and sunshine. We share the neighborhood and foster close ties with multiple pet boarding facilities, the city's busiest primary care and animal shelter practice, a senior dog rescue, and the animal care and control department. The city is a recreation paradise featuring easy access to biking, hiking, surfing, and countless adventures.
