The Event Marketing Manager, North America will be responsible for delivering superior client experiences at trade show and events while achieving stated event goals and objectives.
Key functions will include execution of trade shows and events with cutting-edge activation tactics, budget development and tracking, and vendor sourcing and management. This position will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Marketing and other departments, to ensure alignment of approach at all events.
The successful candidate will have a proactive and self-directed approach to managing multiple projects, vision and creativity, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven budget management capabilities, the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and the ability to deal effectively with differing opinions and personalities at all levels within the organization.
A strong background in trade shows and exhibit management is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with appropriate internal stakeholders to develop and execute an overall industry event and trade show strategy for each program.
• Develop and manage budgets for tradeshows and events.
• Guide day-to-day relationships with event organizers and internal customers.
• Manage agency and vendor resources, both internally and externally.
• Oversee internal Legal and Financial processes on each assigned tradeshow or hosted event.
• Drive operational efficiency through collaboration, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
• Actively engage and support change and innovation for internal programs by researching and understanding latest industry trends and innovations.
• Provide onsite staffing support at various trade shows and hosted events.
• Provide onsite installation and dismantle supervision for various trade shows and hosted events.
• Manage various Events Team support responsibilities such as exhibit properties and premiums management.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including occasional weekend travel.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, preferably within the event and trade show industries.
• Demonstrated experience producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to drive results in ambiguous situations.
• Proven experience executing in a high-energy, high-change culture.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills; detail and results-oriented.
• Strong computer skills, specifically in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Outstanding team player and relationship builder.
