The Business Development Engineer develops and maintains intimate knowledge of industry, applications and accounts on a global scale.

Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of the assigned industry, applications and accounts on a global scale
- Voice of customer studies to understand current challenges, customer wins, and the end in mind for a given application or industry
- Understand how external factors and new technologies influence these outcomes
- Active participant or representative of Intralox in key industry organizations and groups
- Work with a cross functional team across disciplines to understand the business approach and economic drivers for the opportunity being researched
- Ultimately contribute to the vision/roadmap for new product project ideas
- Push ideas/vision to internal leaders and management that you believe to be the best opportunities based
- Project work requirements throughout the life of activated new product projects
- Front end determines value, technical feasibility, and design specifications
- During development: confirmation of value, specification adjustments, and customer testing
- Back end facilitates implementation, champions solutions, and looks for adjustments
Requirements: - Engineering degree (or relevant technical degree)
- Minimum 3 years of industry / professional experience
- Excellent communication skills required
- Ability to simplify large amounts of information into a conclusive plan of action
- Requires a minimum of 30% field activity to be effective (possibly up to 50%)
