OVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector I to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESUse measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gageRead and interpret blueprintsVisual inspection of product according to customer requirements Inspect and or test in-process product as well as finished product Document inspection results by completing required reports/logsIdentify and quarantine all non-conforming productGenerate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant products Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repair Inspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specificationsAttend department meetings as required RequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSUnderstand industry safety standards and quality expectations 1 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferred Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs?
