Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 58-year-old well established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. We have been growing our business and are looking to add quality people to our team.The ideal candidate is an energetic individual, a team player, and can provide services necessary for the efficient operation of Ameraflex: This is an In-Person position with operating hours of M-F, 8AM-5PM. This position will report directly to the Quality Control Manager.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT OR NOT LIMITED TO:Inspect orders for proper material, thickness, size.Make sure paperwork is filled out properly before giving it to shipping.Perform inspections of all items coming through inspection prior to shipping.Package and process UPS and FedEx freight orders.Maintain shipping supply inventory.Operate forklift as needed to assist shipping.Check the inspection emails and answer if needed in a timely manner.Be a backup for will-call counter when Shipping Manager is on break. Assist Shipping with the packaging of items coming from inspection to shipping, i.e., putting things on a pallet, wrapping a pallet, weighing an orderQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Minimum 1 to 2 years' relative experience required.Detail oriented - must have the ability to pay close attention to all details and to reconcile a large amount of information.Working knowledge of hoses, gaskets and hydraulics in an industrial environment relating to the petrochemical and refining fields a plus but not required.Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required.Knowledge of ERP software a plus but not required.Ability to read a tape measure and calipers and perform basic mathematics.Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and pack and move boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.Must be able to keep an organized work area.Must be self-motivated.Must be punctual and able to work each day.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ADDITIONAL NOTES:Ameraflex Sealing Products offers a competitive salary, plus a comprehensive benefits package to include:100 % Company Paid Health Insurance for employees100% Company Paid Basic Life and Long-Term Disability InsuranceDental insuranceVision InsuranceFlexible spending accountLife InsurancePaid time offPaid holidays401(k) program401(k) matchingProfit sharingThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for the personnel for this job.
