Our team in Salt Lake City currently has an opening for a Production Operator
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives and preparesincoming and outgoing dry bulk products by performing the followingduties.
- Prior to unloading and/orbagging product, review all paperwork to ensure that the product beingunloaded or loaded matches the documentation.
- Inspect all packagingmaterials inside and out prior to filling.
- Obtain laboratory approvalfor all raw materials delivered to the plant prior to packaging product.
- Ensure that applicableproducts meet all quality standards and have been approved by the labprior to packaging.
- Properly mark, label andfill bags, supersacks and packages in accordance with Brenntag's StandardOperating Procedures.
- Maintain inventory ofpackaging supplies.
- Perform dry blendingoperator duties as needed.
- Maintain good housekeepingpractices throughout the facility.
- Observe, follow and enforceall Brenntag Policies and Procedures.
- Attend all requiredtraining when scheduled unless absent from work.
- Other responsibilities asassigned.
- This job has no supervisoryresponsibilities.
YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent
- combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Forklift certification required.
- Possess knowledge to operate scales, conveyor belts and bagging unit.
- Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator. Cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with a respirator.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to ready, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
