Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on a Per-Diem basis in our Geriatric Psychiatry department.The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.Essential Functions:Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff.Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely mannerEnsures patients' safetyPerforms clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unitParticipates in continued personal growth and developmentPerforms other related duties as assigned or requestedPosition Requirements:Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training programHigh School Graduate or EquivalentPrefer previous experience in a hospital and/or healthcare settingBLS certification within 90 days of hireNon-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendarComputer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this positionMicrosoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.Work Shift:Per-DiemAs NeededMinimum of 2 shifts per monthBenefits:Working with Stoughton Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:403(b) retirement planEmployee assistance programsFree On Campus ParkingWork Environment:This position is an in-person role at our Stoughton Hospital location.
