Overview

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.

 

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

 

 

At Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, every decision is made in the best interest of patients and families. The Therapy Departments provide inpatient services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Oversees daily operations of multi-disciplinary rehabilitation programs in acute services. Oversees staffing and caseload distribution for assigned program and collaborates with other program and discipline leads to assure patient care needs are met. Assures that daily workflow in assigned satellite is effective and promotes proactive problem solving among team members. Works under the direction of the program supervisor, in collaboration with discipline leads and clinical specialists to assure regulatory standards are met. Assists the supervisor with management of the programs and serves as a resource / contact with customers such as patients, families, nurses, case managers and physicians.

 

Responsibilities

  • Makes appropriate recommendations and determines need for referral to specialist in related areas; makes appropriate discharge plans as indicated.
  • Provides consultation, evaluation and treatment services for patients referred to therapy based on each patient's needs and delivers services in accordance with a written plan of care.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of the programs in collaboration with hospital or campus multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Develops and instructs patients and families in home programs.
  • Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting and implementing systems which improve efficiency of assigned program and related operations.
