Job Title: Physician Pediatrician - Indian Health Service (IHS)

Location: Pinon Health Center, Pinon, AZ

Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract (Flexible assignments available)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Pediatrician to provide high-quality outpatient primary care and urgent care services at the Pinon Health Center. This role involves working closely with a collegial group of providers and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients, predominantly from the Navajo community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient primary care and walk-in urgent care services.

• Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.

• Manage acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive and follow-up care.

• Collaborate with allied health professionals for integrated patient care.

• Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for accurate and timely documentation.

• Participate in medical staff meetings and adhere to established standards of care.

• Provide emergency care as needed, including life-saving measures in urgent situations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 36 months of Physician Pediatrician work experience.

• Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.

• Valid, unrestricted physician license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.

• Valid DEA license with schedule types II through V.

• Certified in BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications are highly recommended.

• Valid driver s license if required by the position.

• Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English effectively.

• Respect for American Indian and Alaska Native culture.

Health Requirements:

• Medical evaluation to ensure fitness for duty.

• Documentation of required immunizations (Hepatitis A, B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Meningococcal, TB test, Influenza, COVID-19).

Work Schedule:

• Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Flexibility for additional hours, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.

• Short-term (13 weeks) and long-term (one-year with two additional option years) assignments available.
