This is an overnight position. General Responsibilities: As a Lead you will be providing employees in the Sanitation department with the proper PPE and leadership that is needed during work hours. This position requires a good knowledge of the production equipment, plant facilities and sanitation practices.
Specific Responsibilities: - Directs and provides guidance to other sanitation employees in the performance of their daily duties.
- Communicate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance personnel on issues needing sanitation attention or corrective action and file accordingly.
- Ensure that departmental sanitation work is performed in a safe manner according to company safety standards.
- Train employees within the department on general and equipment specific sanitation procedures.
- Monitor production equipment for proper operation and performance.
- Serve as backup to the sanitation Manager in their absence.
- Know and follow all departmental GMP and SOP's.
- Track and record chemical usage and other Sanitation supplies and consumables.
- Responsible for overseeing employees in the room you are assigned.
- Responsible for Pre-Operation Sanitation.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Desired Background/Experience: Previous experience managing others. Be able to read and speak English. Previous Sanitation experience required. Team player. Positive attitude. Knowledge of computer programs word and excel preferred.
