We can shorten your time to market, reduce engineering changes, and reduce your product development costs.Position SummaryThe Solderer is responsible for assembling products in accordance with established standards.General Job DescriptionSolder pins and connectors using resistance soldering units and solder irons in accordance with production guidelines.Supports the Operations function in performing a wide variety of tasks associated with cable assembly to include: Cut, prep, wire stripping, wire crimping, soldering, tie wrap, winding, coax, ribbon, potting, plugging, closing, labeling, and molding.Read and understand drawings, pick list, bills of material.Use measuring tools.Troubleshooting, rework, and repairs of components using a variety of hand tools and equipment according to required specifications for defined Manufacturing processesWork with all cable types, including temperature-sensitive dielectric, ESD components and aluminum jacketed cable.Perform in-process inspection of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.Notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.Report to supervisor and other personnel information of scrap, quality issues, and part shortages.Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsSoldering experience is required.Prior experience resistance soldering, though-hole, solder cup experience a plus.Cable and wire harness fabrication experience highly desirable.Micro soldering experience highly desirable.The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while upholding quality standards and maintaining a positive attitude, is essentialInterpret assembly drawings and follow verbal/written work instructions to produce a high-quality product within the allotted time frame.The ability to communicate with managers, engineering and quality regarding production and quality status and issues.May float & perform work assignments in other departments if necessary.Must be able to work OT as neededPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
