JOB SUMMARY This role is designated for the efficient and secure operation of thread rolling machinery, ensuring the maintenance of a tidy and well-organized workspace. As a Thread Roll Operator, the individual is responsible for setting up and operating thread rolling machines to produce threaded parts in compliance with specified requirements. The operator will also act as a crucial intermediary between floor employees and management, adeptly managing and resolving any operational issues or queries that might arise during their shift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately set up and operate thread rolling machines, prioritizing safety and maximizing productivity. Ensure that threaded parts produced meet or exceed predefined quality standards, closely adhering to specifications outlined in work orders, blueprints, and drawings. Conduct comprehensive inspections of all dimensions and material types to guarantee that finished parts conform to all specified requirements. Achieve productivity targets as defined by supervisory and engineering standards, collaborating effectively with the quality control department to optimize output quality and efficiency. Maintain an acute awareness of consumable tooling status, proactively informing the supervisory team about the need for replacements or repairs. Embrace a pivotal role in the troubleshooting and resolution of machine or production issues, facilitating continuous improvement in thread rolling operations. Uphold stringent safety protocols at all times, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, as well as adherence to machine safety guards and procedures. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Demonstrable experience and proficiency in operating thread rolling machines. Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications from blueprints, work orders, and drawings. Capable of performing detailed inspections using standard measuring tools and equipment to ensure product quality. Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Excellent communication abilities for effective interaction with management, supervisors, and colleagues. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 2-4 years of experience in thread rolling operations or a closely related field. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the principles of threading and fastener manufacturing. Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS The role is based in a manufacturing setting, requiring the correct use of personal protective equipment and the capability to move, install/remove, adjust, position, measure, and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
