Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opening for Intake Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
The Intake Coordinator position is primarily responsible for processing and tracking new patient referrals, schedules and monitors new patient internal referrals, clinic appointments and changes, and communicates with families and Shrine Centers regarding status. Triages patient/provider referrals by assessing urgency. Checks in/out patients during clinic. The Intake Coordinator is also responsible for rescheduling patients assigned and calling no shows and monitoring order queue for assigned providers.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have HS diploma, exceptional computer and interpersonal skills.
- 2 years previous administrative experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish speaking helpful.
