The Installation Quality Operations team partners closely with the Regional Installation teams. Tesla Energy currently installs out of 53 warehouses across 12 regions in the USA. The Quality Ops team's organization structure closely reflects this regional structure with Installation Quality Specialists located in most warehouses and reporting up to Regional Quality Managers. The Installation Quality Operations core purpose is to audit the installations of residential energy products and drive high quality installs at a regional level. The team is also responsible for rapidly communicating emerging and trending quality issues. This organization is responsible for understanding, prioritizing, and driving projects around improving installation efficiency and throughput for all residential energy products.Responsibilities Audit residential energy job sites: go onto roofs and in customers' homes to audit productIdentify failures, take pictures, and create audit reports of findings Perform light rework on jobsite and create rework cases for more significant repairs. Review failures with the install team and install leadership on site or in team meetingsAttend team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, best installation practices, and standard workmanship guidelines. Managing time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgencyProviding an exceptional customer experience to all customers. Providing installation solutions to field teams as the higher installation / product knowledge resourceProcess audit residential installation teams: work with a crew to identify plt detractors, process, and quality non-compliance, and evaluate project and jobsite management. Coach best practices whenever inefficiencies are discoveredCreate a culture focused on safety using systems of accountability and recognition while following safety policies and procedures as outlined by state, local, OSHA, and Tesla policies. Willingness to travel as needed Requirements Understanding of roofing and residential electrical systems. Understanding of electrical code preferred. 3+ years experience in the roofing, solar panel install, Powerwall and/or home electrical disciplinesMust be able to work at great heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs. Must be able to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, attic etc.). Must meet all OSHA standards for working at heights including: Ability to climb and utilize equipment on site including various ladders rated for a maximum capacity of 325lbs. Must be able to meet equipment standards for fall protection (harness, anchor, ropes, etc.) with a maximum capacity of 310lbs.Ability to adapt to business needs, eagerness to learn, flexibility, and go-getter mentality.
