Job Summary:
Bongards needs to add two team members on our Sanitation Team to keep up with our growth.These openings are on our night shift and the schedule for these positions is from 10 pm to 6 am Sunday night through Friday night with an occasional Saturday.The Sanitation Team is responsible for the overall sanitation of the plant and equipment.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the overall sanitation of the plant and the equipment associated with the Loaf, Slice, Bulk line, and 5lb line.
- Ability to be trained on multiple sanitation assignments.
- Responsible for breaking down equipment, cleaning, sanitizing work areas and setting up equipment for inspection and start-up, while also adhering to Core Safety, food safety policies, and company policies and Maintain highest quality standards for plant and equipment cleanliness.
- Work in a safe and proficient manner.
- Familiar with safe operation and use of high-pressure hoses and sanitation chemicals
- Chemical training
- Able to follow SOP's (Standard operation procedures) and SSOP's (Sanitation standard operation procedure)
- Becomes trained and is knowledgeable about all GMPs and HACCP guidelines
- Strives to continually improve through additional training and being an integral part of the sanitation team
- Must report all quality and food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
Other requirements: •Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
•Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
•Must demonstrate a commitment to both food and employee safety.
Physical capabilities: - Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
