What you will do
As a Housekeeper at Thomas Cuisine, you play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for our residents. Working under the guidance and support of our Food Service Director, you contribute to the overall well-being of our community by ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Job Specific Duties
  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and dining spaces, following established cleanliness and infection control standards.
  • Pay meticulous attention to details, ensuring all surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings are spotless and well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Services team and other staff members to maintain a standard of excellence in cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Understand and meet the unique needs and preferences of residents by providing exceptional housekeeping services that contribute to their overall satisfaction and comfort.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning materials and chemicals, to promote a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within established timeframes to ensure minimal disruption to residents and the smooth operation of daily activities.
  • Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and promptly address any housekeeping-related concerns.
  • Be adaptable to changing priorities and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Uphold the mission of Thomas Cuisine by providing exceptional service in senior living, enhancing the quality of life and comfort for residents through effective housekeeping practices.
What you will need
  • Professional Housekeeping experience is REQUIRED
  • Heathcare housekeeping experience is preferred
  • 18 years or older, pending specific state requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
  • Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma/GED

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Requires mobility to move around the facility and perform cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and dining spaces. Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in physical activities such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Lifting and carrying cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, up to 25 pounds. Bending and stooping for tasks such as reaching low surfaces and cleaning under furniture. Ability to push carts with cleaning supplies and equipment. Visual acuity for detailed cleaning tasks, ensuring all surfaces and areas are spotless. Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications and be aware of the surrounding environment. Manual dexterity for handling cleaning tools and equipment. Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and maintain awareness of safety protocols. Exposure to various cleaning agents and substances.
