  • Must be comfortable with ICU patients
Opportunity Details:
  • Shift: 7p- 7a (needs are Sunday- Thursday)
  • Manage PRN issues for Medical ICU patients (CCU patients and overflow ICU/stepdown patients on 3T not surgical ICU patients).
  • Usual volume is 4-12 patients
  • ICU admissions typical 0 to 2 per shift
  • Receive handoff from residents at start of shift and give sign-out at end of shift
  • Also covers floor phone/PRN issues on 5L patients
  • Ability to do central lines (internal jugular vein approach) and arterial lines (radial artery approach) is a benefit, but not required.
  • Basic ventilator management. In-house Respiratory Therapy.
  • In-house Anesthesia. No intubations.
Requirements:
  • Must be physician (no APPs in ICU)
  • Must have unrestricted license, DEA, ACLS
  • Can be Medicine or surgery trained or subspecialties (Gastro, Neuro, Plastics, rheumatology, etc). No Family Medicine
