Reports To: Plant Manager/Team LeaderFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptPosition Summary: The Galvanizing Line Operator receives instructions from the Plant Manager or Team Leader about the assignments and expectations for the day. The operator will have been trained on the equipment and processes in the operations area. The operator will be required to follow processes and procedures either posted or directed by management.Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to perform operation tasks as assigned. Assures their assignments are completed on time. Responsible for the quality checkpoints at assigned stations. Responsible for safety and housekeeping of their area. Fills out paperwork according to manager instructions. Uses forklifts and overhead hoists to load and carry material. RequirementsEducation and Experience Required: High school diploma Forklift CertificationPreferred Education, Experience, and Skills: Ability to follow instructions from management. Communication proficiency both verbal and written. Ability to identify parts to be processed on the line. Thoroughness. Excellent time Management. Reading, writing, and math skills are essential.
