Sales Support Associate, Business Partnerships
WBUR, a powerhouse non-profit public media brand with a commitment to serving the public, reporting the truth, and enriching our community is seeking a creative, motivated Sales Support Associate to support the efforts of the Business Partnerships team's advertising sales efforts. The Sales Support Associate will have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to be successful in today's fast-paced advertising world while supporting a world class sales team in a purpose-driven entrepreneurial environment.
Though not required, the ideal candidate will have experience in media advertising. They will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities and a willingness to support the team with both day-to-day tasks and basic administrative duties.
What you'll do:
•Responsible for daily management of client services for the Business Partnerships Sales team including supporting the Account Executives and Business Partnerships Management Team.
•Assist Account Executives and AdOps with campaign fulfillment including securing materials and serving as the primary originator of all contract materials for all members of the Business Partnerships Sales team utilizing WBUR's traffic system (Wide Orbit).
•Responsible for recurring revenue summaries and client reports as well as advertising campaign reporting and overseeing departmental operations via reporting, helping with orders, copy, schedules, and post-buy analysis.
•Liaise with WBUR departments including AdOps, Business Office, Marketing, Traffic and Membership.
•Assist Account Executives with account activity including helping with the creation of advertising schedules, custom department and client reports, discrepancy resolution, copy creation and maintenance, annual budget projections reports and spot times. Also includes creating required deliverables for advertising campaigns and maintaining accurate sponsorship materials and availability.
•Help manage sales contact management system. Work on special projects as needed for the Executive Director of Business Partnerships, Department Managers, and Account Executives.
•Pull Research reporting from various audience and advertising systems to support the Executive Director of Business Partnerships and the sales efforts of the Business Partnerships team. Help the team create sales materials related to this research and additional sales materials as needed.
•Collaborate with the Development, Business Partnerships, and Finance teams to coordinate the auction for WBUR's annual Gala at all stages of the process.
•Collaborate with Business Partnerships and Membership teams to coordinate fundraising premiums and the Member Benefits Card
•Work with Trade Representative to secure trade receipts and provide accurate accounting of trade balances.
Who you are:
•1-2 years in media in an advertising capacity (broadcast, digital, print, events)
•Experience in translating client objectives and goals into creative advertising campaigns preferred
•Strong project management, organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive nature is a must
•Strong multi-tasking skills
•Great communication skills and experience with writing and presentation development
•4-year college degree (Communications, Marketing and/or Business-related discipline preferred)

1. One of the main priorities of the Sales Support Associate position is overseeing the operation of the Wide Orbit traffic system for the Business Partnerships Department. Responsible for annual, monthly and weekly report revenue summaries and client reports. Oversee the general account activity for all accounts including helping with the creation of schedules, custom department and client reports, discrepancy resolution, copy creation and maintenance, annual budget projections reports and spot times. Help manage the Efficio and Salesforce contact management systems. Work on special projects as needed for the Director of Business Partnerships, Department Managers, and Account Executives. Create MP3s for the department as needed for accounts and be available for miscellaneous client requests. 40%
2. The Sales Support Associate will pull research reports from Nielsen, Scarborough, ACT, Media Monitors, and other sources to support the sales efforts of the Business Partnerships team. Help the team create sales materials related to this research and additional sales materials as needed. 40%
3. The Sales Support Associate will collaborate with the Development Team to coordinate the auction for WBUR's annual Gala. This will include working with the Account Executives and their clients to coordinate the details of the auction items and securing them as well. Assist the Development Team with adding the items to the online auction site. The Sales Support Associate will also coordinate with the business office to make sure that the paperwork is all set before the night of the event. 10%
4. The Sales Support Associate will collaborate with the Membership Team to coordinate fundraising premiums and the Member Benefits Card. This will include working with the Account Executives and their clients to coordinate the details of the fundraising premiums and Member Card offers and securing them as well. Assist the Membership Team and Account Executives in securing assets for both. 5%
5. The Sales Support Associate will collaborate WBUR'sTrade Representative to secure trade receipts and provide accurate accounting of trade balances. 5%
