Job Duties
- Primarily responsible for appointment scheduling and pre-registration, to include: collecting; verifying; updating; and entering complete and accurate patient demographic information into a computer system prior to a patient’s clinical appointment.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the patient medical records process.
- Complies with the appointment guidelines of the department to schedule appointments in the database for new and previously registered patients.
- Establishes new and current patient information by collecting and entering patient demographic information into the database.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- One year of general clerical/secretarial experience is required.
- One year of college study or the completion of a recognized clerical vocational training program with medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience in the use of computer software is required.
- Experience in the utilization of an on-line scheduling and registration system is preferred.
- Experience in the utilization of IDX scheduling is preferred.
