Primary Purpose
Provides psychological evaluation and diagnoses for mental and emotional disorders of individuals through observation, interview, and psychological tests. Formulates and administers programs of treatment.
Minimum Specifications
Education/Experience:
Must have a Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA accredited university and have completed an internship with an APA accredited program.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
- Must be licensed a Psychologist by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
Skills or Special Abilities:
- Requires familiarity with Clinical Psychology and competency in basic psychological assessment techniques, psychotherapeutic intervention, family systems, and developmental orientation. Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in meeting age related and handicapped patients' needs. Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
