The PCA II maintains a current certification in patient care and is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.nnQualificationsnnEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGnnHigh School Diploma or equivalent.nnCurrent Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).nnCurrent Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.nnCurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.nnSix months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.nnCurrent Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.nnCurrent EKG certification upon hire, preferred.nnPossesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.nnMinimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.nnFacility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):nnCurrent Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.nnConnect With Us!
