Typical job duties and tasks of a PCA include:nnProvides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding guest as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.nnMaintains guest stability by checking vital signs; recording intake and output information.nnProvides guest comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the guest to nursing supervisor.nnDocuments actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.nnMaintains work operations by following policies and procedures.nnProtects organization's value by keeping guest information confidential.nnQualifications:nnHigh school diploma or GEDnnGood listening skillsnnExcellent customer service, energized individual with compassion for assisting othersnnWilling to improve their standing by obtaining the Nurse Assistant certification (C.N.A.).
