Apply into ourCNA Training Track (Support Aide) and be slotted into the next available Nurse Aide Training Program to become a CNA.nnCNA Training Track (Support Aide) Overview:nnElderwood's CNA Training course will last for three weeks, Monday to Friday from 7:30a-3:30p (times may vary slightly). Until you are officially slotted for training, you will be designated on a specific shift as a Trainee.nnOnce in the course - the first two weeks are classroom training; third week will be the clinical portion.nnOnce you pass, your status (and pay) will be adjusted from Support Aide to CNA.nnElderwood will pay for the CNA certification test as well as any applicable onboarding requirements, including but not limited to PPD and Physical for eligible candidates.nnTraining is PAID - you will be clocked in during training hours and get paid while you train.nnEmployee Perks!nn401K Retirement Plan with Company Match, Free On-Site Parking, Free Uniforms, Friendly and supportive staff, Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Point-earning employee reward program: redeem for prizes!, Substantial employee referral program, Tuition reimbursement programnnResponsibilitiesnn(CNA Training Track - Support Aide):nnTransport residents or accompanies ambulatory residents as assigned to various locations in the building including the dining room, activity program areas, therapy or treatment areas.nnMake unoccupied resident beds, as assigned.nnAssist in the Dining Room with food service to residents, under the direction of licensed therapy staff; duties include passing trays, cutting meat, opening cartons or other containers.nnDistribute supplemental nourishments to residents who do not need to be fed, as directed.nnConduct informal activities on the nursing unit when time permits, as directed.nnSupply fresh water in resident's rooms, as directed.nnPrepare bed and bedwear of resident's at hour of sleep, as assigned.nnHelp keep general areas of the assigned nursing unit neat and orderly, as directed.nnClean resident's equipment (wheelchair/geri chair, bed, etc.), as assigned.nnKeep the rooms of residents orderly, as assigned.nnNotify therapist of any unusual incidents regarding residents.nnQualificationsnn(CNA Training Track - Support Aide):nnSixteen (16) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent required.nnEmployment Certificate/Permit required for 16-17 years of age.nnNo findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency.nnThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
