The Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of our dynamic Maintenance team and is responsible troubleshooting, assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery and equipment at Viskase Loudon.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performance of all jobs must be conducted safely, efficiently and accurately.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level
- Build, perform repairs and/or do modifications to equipment and kind, and preventive maintenance on buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures, processes, etc., at an industrial level
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level
- Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance program
- Support internal projects
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirements
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules
- Performs other assignments as directed
**Minimum Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Satisfactory complete an apprenticeship program and / or several years as a journeyman industrial mechanic
