Minneola Healthcare Long Term Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) / Certified Medication Aides (CMAs). In this dual role, you will provide essential care and support to our patients while also assisting with medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting their well-being and comfort.
- Assist with the transfer and positioning of patients to ensure their safety and prevent pressure ulcers.
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules, following established protocols and procedures.
- Document medication administration accurately and promptly in patients' records, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide updates on their care, address concerns, and promote patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Medication Aide (CMA) in accordance with state regulations.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
