This includes maintaining and assisting with patient records, ordering supplies and services, scheduling diagnostic tests and treatments, and assisting physicians and nurses. They are a member of the healthcare team who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, to organize, assist and implement specific aspects of the plan of care for the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients. They communicate in a timely manner with the patient, family and healthcare team, and document care per hospital protocol. They may be required to work on other units according to the distribution of staff, patients and individual competency.nnEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONnnHigh school diploma or equivalentnnNursing Assistant Certification and/or work experience within last 3 yearsnnPatient Care Technician Certification - OptionalnnHealth Unit Coordinator Program Graduate – OptionalnnCPR Certification or obtain within 60 days of hirennFTE: 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week)nnShift: Days 6am-6pm.
