Position Summary

The trucks driven may include Semi Truck; Dump Truck; Bucket Truck, etc. The CDL Classified Truck Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.

Essential Functions
n
n- Operates truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
n- Transports, loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
n- Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
n- Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.
n- Maintains signed invoices and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.
n- Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Supervisor.
n- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
n
n- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
n- Bilingual preferred, not required.
n- Ability to remain focused.
n- Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
n- Must hold required commercial driver’s license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated.
n- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.
n- Demonstrates safe driving techniques.
n- Able to lift in excess of 40 lbs.
n- Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
n- Willing to work over-time when requested.
n- Able to use hand tools on a continuous basis.
n- Capable of being exposed to dirt and power equipment daily.
n- Able to identify unforeseen obstacles that would hinder safety or production.
n- Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
