Who We Are: We are a diverse team of Quality Engineers, Scientists and Technicians supporting programs and projects in multiple technical divisions across multiple disciplines, including Space, Defense, Intelligence Solutions, Chemical, Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and more. Objectives of this Role: Interface with project technicians, engineers, and division management, as well as customer representatives as necessary on quality-related issues. Assist quality engineering with oversight of various quality system processes including calibrated equipment tracking and recall, nonconformance documentation and material control, and parts inventory control and storage. Maintain an ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliant electrostatic discharge control program. Provide advice to management on potential improvements to processes and procedures. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Inspect antennas from the bare metal to the finished product. Perform receiving inspection on materials, individual electronic components and hardware. Inspect mechanical and electrical hardware assemblies to relevant engineering drawing requirements. Witness test set up and conduct of testing, review and approve test documentation. Document nonconformances/issues in a clear and concise manner. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology preferred. Current or previous certifications to NASA standards NASA-STD-8739 and IPC J-STD-001 standards for soldering, cable crimp & harnessing, staking and coating of printed circuit boards is preferred. Shift work required. 2-10 years: Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings and schematics. 2-10 years: Exposure to design and manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies. Familiarity working within a quality management system, such as AS9100 or ISO9001 is a plus. Inspection experience on printed circuit board assemblies and mechanical piece parts a definite plus. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
