This is a Tele stepdown unit that generally houses 5-6 patients, but can go up to 11 patients. Patients are a mix of lower acuity tele and medical. It operates in conjunction with our tele floor (4W) and sees patients such as COPD exacerbation, cath-lab post procedure (stents and pacemakers), acute CKD, DKAs, etc. Also provides care for post-cardiac cath patients and post pacemaker placement. ACLS and BLS required. Manager will review schedule requests such as block scheduling or specific days requested.
