Clinic Hours of Operation: 7:30 - 4:30 M-F
Shift: 40hrs, 5 days a week, Days
Clinic Opens at 7:30, they rotate who opens the clinic. Mainly will be 8am - 4:30pm but may have rotations of being there at 7:30am
Required Skills/Experience/Certs:
Associate degree programs in radiologic technology and meet education (40 CEUs’) and clinical experience requirements specializing in mammography
BLS, ARRT certification in radiography and Mammography, NJ License
Hologic experience
2-3 years Mammo Tech experience
Flexible in the sense that they do have a mobile mammography van. in case they may need to work this.
Position Details:
• Start Date: September 15th (flexible)
• Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
• Shift: Morning
• Number of positions open: 1
• Any additional details you think would be helpful to know or familiar with Biopsy procedures
• Assignment: Primarily the Breast Center, and Mobile Mammography
• Location: 205 South Orange Ave., Newark, NJ
• Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours/week, Monday - Saturday (schedule may vary based on Mobile Schedule events)
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (schedule may vary based on Mobile Schedule events)
• System: Hologic Selenia Dimensions
• Procedures: Screening and Diagnostic Mammography
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in radiologic technology
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mammographer
• Proof of at least 200 mammogram procedures performed in the last 24 months.
• Current/Valid ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography
• Current/Valid NJ state license in Medical Radiography
• Current/Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification
• Completion of 40 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) relevant to Mammography
• Maintain required 15 Mammography-specific CEUs every 3 years.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Perform high-quality mammograms according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Ensure patient comfort and provide compassionate care throughout the screening process.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Perform and maintain accurate QCQA records
• Adhere to all infection control protocols.
