IMPORTANT!McLaren Northern has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population.  Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately.  Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor.  This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.McLaren’s surgical services represent a full spectrum of procedures and tests across various specialties. General elective surgeries as well as critical or life-saving procedures are what we excel at. McLaren was the first to provide many surgical techniques and tools and continues to keep an eye on the future to enhance the care and outcomes for all our surgical patients.

Submission Requirements
2+ Years of experience - Required Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, OB Experience - PreferredNBSTSA and NCCT are interchangeable FA can be RNFA or
CSTFA Health
system-wide profile standards

References NOT required.
A skills checklist completed within one year of
application for RN specialties is required.  All other professions
outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
Michigan license verification is required for nurses.
Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in
the traveler’s best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for
the manager's review.
Physical copies of certifications are only required in
the profile if listed above.
Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for
contract hire within six months of employment.

McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional hospital located in Petoskey, Michigan serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences.Further McLaren Specifics:

Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
on bill rates over $40/hr
OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular
rates
Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial
extension. 
McLaren's local traveler policy is to reduce
the travel rate by 10%.  Anyone with a permanent address within a 35
mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler.
