    Job Details
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
  • Accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
    Job Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA).
  • Current ACLS (AHA).
  • Current PALS (AHA).
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, E.R. setting preferred.
    Additional Details
  • Required - Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
  • Valid Picture ID (State Driver's License, Passport, or State ID Card)
  • American Heart Association certifications are required for specific positions: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, Fire Card, MAB, RDMS, etc.
  • Must score 80% or better on required competency exams and are generally required within 1 year of start.
  • Specific facility documents are needed such as job descriptions, attestation, EMTALA manual & acknowledgment, and Behavioral Prevention with CDC.
