    Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced PCU RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in specialty - open to first time travelers.
  • RN’s should have experience in a ICU stepdown or PCU unit.
  • Training is telemetry.
  • Training in high risk medications.
  • Experience in Arterial and CVP pressure lines; titrating pressors; precedex; trach & stable vented patients.
  • Must be able to titrate drips.
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, levophed.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts are 12Hr starting at 645am/pm. 3 shifts/week.
  • Schedules made out about 2-3 weeks in advance initially, then try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance.
  • Self-scheduling for the most part.
  • Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, Nights - Fri/Sat.
  • No call or standby requirement.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float
  • Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy blue
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 shift on unit
    Additional Details
  • Very close-knit team with effective teamwork.
  • They stress the patient experience on the unit and they want someone who knows and understands HCAHPS and core measures.
