Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Traveler Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our traveling team and provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare facilities. As a traveling CNA, you will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support patients with daily activities, monitor their health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in diverse settings and making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Assistance: Aid patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, and report any changes to nursing staff.
Comfort and Safety Support: Ensure patient comfort and safety by assisting with positioning, transferring, and using mobility aids; maintain a clean and safe environment.
Health Observations: Observe patients for physical and behavioral changes, documenting and reporting observations to nurses for further assessment.
Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, listening to patients' needs and engaging them in conversation to enhance their well-being.
Documentation: Accurately record patient care activities, vital signs, and health observations in electronic health records (EHR) as required by the facility.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to patient care.
Detail-oriented with the ability to document accurately and follow facility protocols.
Adaptable and flexible to work in diverse clinical settings as a traveler.
Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility, lifting, and other physical tasks.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Active CNA certification in good standing and eligibility to work in various states as required.
Prior experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, long-term care, or assisted living facilities preferred.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
