Job Description

Working closely with customers, drivers, yard manager/ supervisors, Business development representatives and Account administrators to ensure an efficient operation and optimizing the available resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Process all incoming cash payments and issue receipts.

Process all outgoing payments, mailings, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Maintain accurate records of customer transactions in the cash register computer system.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Provide excellent customer service by promptly resolving customer inquiries or complaints.

Contact point for shipping and receiving paperwork.

Generating and confirming all shipping and return tickets including maintaining a log of all transactions.Coordinating orders with the rental yard manager/ supervisor.

Reporting material shortages and material requirements for various projects. Equipment counts for gear shortages, if necessary.

Taking photographs of all loads being shipped or returned and logging all movements.

Providing first point of contact and customer service with walk-in customers.

Receiving and processing orders phoned in/ emailed by customers and Business development representatives.

Assisting with “House” account invoicing.

Assist with organizing trucking both local and occasionally national. Completing Bill of lading paperwork.Generating and confirming local Purchase Orders.

Assisting with yard productivity tracking.

Assisting day to day operations with freight scheduling to optimize inhouse vehicles.

Contact customers for deliveries and pick-ups.

Scheduling trucks for service, repairs and other works to the shop

Maintaining and filing limited records of Annual Inspection

Qualifications:

Exceptional English speaking and writing skills

Previous customer service and or, order desk experience preferred.

Must be available to work Monday - Friday; 7 am - 5 pm; some Saturdays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
