I am currently looking for an experienced Project Manager in engineering for my client based in Laval. The role requires frequent travel between Laval and Montreal, along with proactive management of various projects such as the installation, modification, and validation of production equipment and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate must also be flexible and available to manage evening or weekend work as needed by the projects.
Your Role
Main Responsibilities:
-Analyze manufacturing plans requirements and design a detailed execution plan.
-Oversee the acquisition, installation, connection, and commissioning of production equipment.
-Ensure the modification and improvement of buildings (walls, floors, ventilation, fire protection, refrigeration, etc.).
-Coordinate the installation and modification of service equipment (boilers, air compressors, factory ventilation, etc.).
-Lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure coordination between various departments.
-Monitor project budgets and ensure timelines are met.
-Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project schedules and budgets.
-Draft project reports and ensure rigorous follow-ups.
-Perform other tasks related to the position.
Your Profile:
-At least 8 years of project management experience.
-Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (or working towards it).
-Experience with projects such as installing and modifying industrial equipment and buildings.
-Bilingual (French and English).
The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons:
Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
Benefits:
-Competitive salary between $85,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
