About this opportunity:
The Student Intern, Information Security , will work closely with the Global Information Security team to assist with formalizing security activities and related documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and within cross-functional teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Willingness to be a team player
Ability to efficiently learn a variety of new skills and take initiative
Ability to interpret security activities into meaningful procedural documentation
Experience with information security solutions and software products
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Scripting skills, integration knowledge, and/or data analysis is considered an asset
Activities:
Assist team members with various security solution management and monitoring as required
Participate in security solution development and testing
Identify opportunities for potential new solutions based on observations of activities and solutions already in place
Team website development/maintenance
Create and deliver follow-up communications to various teams for security findings/reports and/or incidents
Participate in project management and risk management activities
Having fun while learning more about information security and what it means in a real world environment
Physical Demands:
Duties of this position are performed in an office setting with exposure to manufacturing environments.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Education: Currently enrolled in an Internship program completing 2nd or 3rd year of a 4-year University program or 2nd year of 3-year Diploma in any program that provides exposure to information security-related courses.
