About This Role
JOB SUMMARY : The Director Finance BAT/HAT/Mx has direct responsibility over forecasting variance analysis and reporting of global Business Aviation Training(BAT), Helicopter Aviation Training (HAT) and maintenance training (Mx) segment-related financial performance. Responsible person to liaise with corporate finance management as well as the business management team.
The Director Finance BAT will directly supervise the global finance team under his supervision and he will also ensure cooperation with others colleagues to provide and deliver results, forecast, budget and strategic plan.
The Director Finance must possess a strong commercial understanding of the business, provide an immediate and accurate financial performance assessment for each business and provide valuable support to the Business Leaders in the achievement of the Business Unit objectives and business plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Business Leaders in developing the company's business and financial strategy including planning and monitoring, as well as the management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved.
The Director is responsible to produce the monthly management accounts and associated reports accurately and on time, including relevant commentaries, answers to queries etc. Oversee all business case across BAT/HAT/Mx business, work with the BD department to ensure assumption are aligned with finance. Review/Challenge the final assumption from the business to ensure appropriate and realist business case are presented.
Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the Business Units, including supporting corporate departments with financial structure, tax planning and other finance related matters.
Review and produce regular, accurate and reliable financial forecasts for the Business Unit.
Support the business in defining the appropriate Key performance indicator to support their growth.
Involve in the sales commission plan definition and calculation to ensure appropriate payment according to performance.
Under his responsibility, the Finance Director will coordinate and control the budget process for the business unit, and deliver it in accordance with corporate requirements.
Manage the company’s finance department budget and other finance related costs effectively.
Manage and coach a dedicated finance team.
SPECIFICS
Providing and interpreting financial information for different locations in the businesses and assist in the establishment of the training centers in different locations as required ;
Monitoring performance and efficiency;
Analysing change and conducting risk assessment;
Participating in strategic planning, and formulating long-term business plans;
Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
Overseeing budgetary control;
Managing working capital effectively, particularly Accounts Receivable and keeping overdue accounts and bad debts to minimum levels
Ensure respect of capital allocation guidance and budget assign to the business
Liaising with other members of the team and across the business;
Managing and motivating team of staff, including performance reviews
Working and communicating effectively with the management team of the training centre to deliver the required business performance
From time to time the Finance Director may also be asked to represent the corporation on certain partnerships or business ventures.
Supporting and managing both management and staff through regular change processes
QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience)
Education Requirements Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in finance or accounting with Accounting recognized designation (CPA);
Experience Requirements Fifteen to twenty years of relevant experience with a demonstrated track record and past experience in leading finance organization as controller and/or Director.
Strong Financial reporting skills;
Strong budgeting and forecasting experience;
Good working knowledge of the simulation base business and dynamic is an asset;
Proven experience in multinational company and demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and
