The Development Director at The Haven of Grace plays a critical role in fundraising and increasing public awareness. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position focuses on planning and implementing strategies to secure donations, cultivate relationships with donors, and manage key volunteers and board members. The ideal candidate will have cultural sensitivity, particularly in working with economically disadvantaged communities, and will foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with leadership to identify funding priorities and manage the development plan.
Cultivate and manage a portfolio of donors for annual, major, and planned giving.
Lead and support fundraising initiatives, including events and donor cultivation efforts.
Oversee donor database management and reconciliation with accounting.
Manage marketing and social media efforts related to fundraising.
Act as a liaison to the Board’s Fund Development Committee.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, or related field; CFRE preferred.
3-5 years of successful frontline fundraising experience.
Proven ability to cultivate major gifts and work collaboratively with boards.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience in a faith-based nonprofit environment is a plus.
