We are hiring a full time HR Generalist to support our team in Markham. In this role you will be leading the HR Team at our York branch. This is a great opportunity for someone who is an experienced HR Professional and has 1 - 2 years of people management experience.

Job Description Be a resource for Managers regarding health and safety
Manage the full cycle recruitment for manager roles and above
Rotate all other staff orientation with Coordinator
Manage all front line staff leaves of absence including requests, processing documentation and monitoring timelines
Support HR Manager as needed in managing employee relations complaints/grievances
Act as a resource for managers and support managers in applying the performance management and progressive discipline policy
Following completion of performance appraisals from Supervisors, update date in electronic file and confirm documentation
Run reports from learning management system to record compliance for employee file purposes
Ensure staff complete mandatory training as required
Facilitate branch transfers (updated employment letters/agreements, update to Procura, coordination etc)
Qualifications Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field, CHRP designation preferred
Minimum 4 years’ experience in human resources management in a variety of HR roles with particular emphasis in positive employee relations
1 - 2 years people management experience
Experience working with employee groups and managers to resolve issues for the benefit of employees and the company
Demonstrated experience in taking a proactive approach to maintain a positive work environment
