To prospective anesthesiologist teammates,
I'm the medical director for the Sound Anesthesia team at the renowned Loma Linda University Medical Center in Murrieta, California. I have proudly been a part of Sound Physicians since February 2023 and welcome interest from anesthesiologists with established experience coming out of training or desiring a career change. I'm excited to provide you with a glimpse into our world of anesthesiology, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider your options:
People - Our team is closely-knit, with 10 physicians and 15 advanced practice providers (CRNAs). We have a core group of 7 physicians (including 2 cardiac anesthesiologists) and 10 CRNAs (general OR and OB). Our clinicians have years of extensive experience in and out of the OR.
- Our local clinicians range from Orange County to San Diego.
- Our team is highly skilled, collaborative, and well-respected by a wide range of healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient care for inpatient and outpatient cases.
- Our anesthesia group works very closely with the hospital's medical staff, and we are involved in many different committees, including the medical executive, pharmacy and therapeutics committee, surgery, pathology, and anesthesia committees. We are also involved in the OB, ER, ICU, GI, IR, and cath lab departments. For those who like to teach, we support podiatry and internal medicine residents rotating through our department.

- I was drawn to Sound because of this strong support for providers, commitment to autonomy, and effective collaboration with hospitals and administration. With nearly 12 years at Loma Linda - Murrieta, I cherish my role as the anesthesia team's leader and am dedicated to fostering a healthy, happy, and strong team.
- We share diverse hobbies, including hiking, camping, yoga, and volunteering. We try to come together as a group, celebrating annual events like holiday parties.
